Dove Youth Development

Role: Videographer, Editor, and Bilingual Interviewer

Adobe Premiere Pro, Canon 7D, Zoom Recorder, Genaray LED light kit , Tripod, Universal Music Production, Trello

In January of 2023, I traveled to the Dominican Republic with my Master’s cohort in order to serve a local youth centered nonprofit, Dove Youth Development. I was one of the two videographers to serve on the team. In total, we conducted 17 interviews with the organization’s staff, volunteers, and participants, organized over 600 files of Broll, and translated 5 videos into English subtitles. By the end of production, we produced six videos that are now housed on the organization’s website. This experience taught me the importance of pre through post production processes and how to deliver a professional product. I was able to exercise my problem solving, leadership, interpersonal and collaborative skills in order to present the best work for our client. This life changing experience has given me the confidence to exceed the expectations of a client and present my best work.
